Take a deep breath. Spring is around the corner!
A sparkling midterm review and a comprehensive report on our bumper conference in collaboration with EOSC-hub and FREYA are the main stories in this issue of the Social Sciences & Humanities Open Cloud Insights. As usual, you'll also find a round up of recent training and other events with links to recordings, slides and other materials plus an overview of upcoming workshops and webinars. Don't forget to consult the list of deliverables published since our last update in August!
Good reading!
P.S. Full details of the SSH Open Marketplace Beta release will be published in the next issue in a couple of weeks time. So stay tuned!
"The project has fully achieved its objectives and milestones for the period and delivered exceptional results with significant immediate or potential impact."
This is just one of many positive comments from the report delivered to the coordinators after the November review. The reviewer also called SSHOC "impactful by design", and said the work being carried out "contributes materially to the advancement of European policy objectives as these relate to the EOSC."
We've published a full report on the Realising the European Open Science Cloud virtual conference organised in collaboration with EOSC-hub and FREYA during November 2020. The event was subtitled “Towards a FAIR research data landscape for the social sciences, humanities and beyond” and invited participants to join forces and connect with E-infrastructures, discover new tools and techniques and aggregate services to the EOSC Portal.
The conference attracted some 700 visitors from 45 countries and offered more than 30 plenary and small group breakout sessions over four days. There were also virtual exhibition booths and plenty of opportunities to network.
Our library of recordings, presentation slides and post-event reports has grown by leaps and bounds since our last report back. Click on the title of an event to access the event description and links to all the associated resources posted after the event.
At the February Open Science Conference we showcased the SSH Training Discovery Toolkit.
