    RDA 14th Plenary takes place in Helsinki, Finland on 23-25 October. The event brings together data experts in research, industry and policy-making from all around the world and from all disciplines under the theme Data Makes the Difference. A preliminary event on EOSC by the title "The International Research Data Community contributing to EOSC" will also take place on the 22nd of October.

    The meeting addresses the extensive potential of research data in

    • improving decision making,
    • tackling grand societal challenges, and
    • engaging citizens in the creation of knowledge and betterment of society.

    Data has enormous and diverse potential to change how we work, make decisions and empower citizens. The 14th RDA plenary will explore the extensive ways data can make the difference by bringing together diverse group of experts from all around the globe. During the plenary we will share and learn together and advance our abilities to use data in making a positive impact in the world to tackle its complex challenges.

    The Plenary is co-hosted by Research Data Alliance Finland, CSC - IT Centre for Science, Aalto University, University of Helsinki, Federation of Finnish Learned Societies, and Finnish Meteorological Institute.

     

    An EOSC Event at RDA Helsinki Plenary: an integral part of the EOSC Stakeholder Forum

    One year on the launch of EOSC, this timely event wishes to provide a voice to the research data community of stakeholders in a global setting on the European Open Science Cloud progress and early results.

    EOSC services collaborations and RDA

    In preparation for the EOSC event at RDA P14 a specific panel on EOSC services collaboration and RDA will take place on 21 October. This event will bring together the communities of the EOSC cluster projects and the Research Data Alliance. Presentations and discussions will evolve around the commonalities and potential collaborations on community research data management solutions.
